Math Contest 2012

 

 




Apple Educational Services Math Contest aims to promote interest and enthusiasm for mathematics among secondary school students in the U.S. Challenging and fun mathematics problems are asked in the written and oral rounds of the competition. Contest Organization Committee works closely with the Advisory Board in order to provide the participants an unforgettable experience.

Since its launch in 2010, over 150 students competed in the Math Contest. Currently in its third year, AES Math Contest held on March 17, 2012 at Princeton University. Our students Abdullahi Aden, Kristoffer Ambubuyog and Sulejman Odzakovic from 9-A participated in the contest.

 

 

MATH COUNTS 2012

 
 

To secure America's global competitiveness, MATHCOUNTS inspires excellence, confidence and curiosity in U.S. middle school students through fun and challenging math programs. With the generous support of all MATHCOUNTS sponsors and volunteers, and leadership of the National Society of Professional Engineers at the local and state levels, MATHCOUNTS is providing today’s students with the foundation for success in science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers.
 
MATHCOUNTS is a national enrichment, club and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement through grassroots involvement in every U.S. state and territory.
 
In its 30th year, Math Counts regional contest is being held in Rochester Institute of Technology. As an only school that is not private, RACS’s middle school students Ngoma Gabiam, Zoe Hodge, Vedad Odzakovic and Ahmet Buyuknahirci participated in the Math Contest. Our students beat up all years math scores compare to past 3 years of Rochester Academy Charter School with the following points.
Vedad Odzakovic: +14 Math Points
Zoe Hodge: + 12 Math Points
Ngoma Gabiam: +10 Points
Ahmet Buyuknahirci: +8 points.
 
Our applauses goes to our Participating students beating the school wide record for the last 3 years.
