The purpose of RACS uniform policy is to help create a safe and orderly environment, instill discipline, and eliminate the competition and distractions caused by varied dress styles. Each student is expected to, and MUST, arrive in dress code is appreciated. The following is the uniform code for school and it must be followed strictly.
Students must follow the school dress code throughout the school year. Students may not enter the school building without proper uniform.
UNIFORM FOR GIRLS
- Navy slacks (no jeans) or skirt (Must be knee length). Black is not acceptable.
- All shirts must be purchased from RACS. Cost $15.
- Jewelry and accessories for girls should be appropriate for school and not attract undue attention. Only one hand ring and a pair earring are permitted. (NO LARGE HOOPS). Neckwear should not be seen.
UNIFORM FOR BOYS
- Navy slacks, Pants (no jeans). Slacks must fit properly, may not be sagging. Black is not acceptable.
- All shirts must be purchased from RACS. Cost $15.
- Neckwear should not be seen.
FOOTWEAR
- Black or Brown (Dark colors preferred) (Sneakers/Shoes/ Boots). Footwear must be solid including sole. Boots must be laced up and under pant legs.
- No stripes or decals on the side of the shoes.
- No sandals, clogs or flip-flops will be allowed. High heels and platform shoes are not recommended (accepted) due to safety issues.
ALL STUDENTS
- No white tee-shirts will be allowed as outerwear.
- Hats, caps, scarves and other headgear may not be worn in the building.
- Sweaters, pullovers, and sweatshirts should be navy, light brown, and be free of writing unless it is the school emblem.
- The length of skirts for girls, be longer than the tips of fingers when hands are to the side.
- For boys, the pants cannot be larger than the size they wear, the pants must be worn around the waist and a belt must be worn.
RACS reserves the right to access the jewelry’s appropriateness.
PLEASE NOTE…
In addition to making sure you are wearing the school uniform, RACS requires that you follow these additional guidelines in terms of uniform appearance and personal appearance.
- Skirts must be of modest length, and may not be rolled at the waist.
- A Navy Sweater Vest – pull-over or v-necked cardigan (No Hoodies )Pants and Slacks:
- Pants and slacks must fit properly, may not be baggy or sagged.
- Belt to be worn with slacks: A properly fitting, brown or black belt.Personal Appearance:
- Clothes shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times. See through or fishnet fabrics, tube tops, off the shoulder, spaghetti straps or low cut tops bare midriffs and skirts or shorts shorter than mid thigh are prohibited.
- Cosmetics should be appropriate for school and not attract undue attention.
- Facial and body piercing, tattoos, use of hair dyes and bleach are not acceptable.
- Boys may not grow mustache and beard.Outerwear:
- Hats, caps, and other headgear may not be worn in the building.
- Outwear, such as windbreakers, jean jackets, or ski jackets, may not be worn.
