Community Service
Rochester Academy Charter School provides its students with the opportunities to become productive citizens who learn multiple ways to give back to our community. RACS students have been participating in community service events such as Genesee street flower planting and citywide clean&sweep programs. RACS students also organize fundraising programs to make donations to organizations such as Golisano Children's Hospital.
The service clubs spent two years fundraising for the Golisano Children's Hospital. In our first year, we raised $560 and $1,500 the second year. We were given a tour of the Children's Hospital's inpatient and outpatient centers and presented with a large check for our efforts.
