Racs Science Fair

Students from both grades worked for five weeks in  science class to create thoughtful, research based projects to present to judges. Many of the projects focused on the STEM principles, such as: How Do Neodidyum Magents Affect Launch Distance?, and Can Sodium Polyacrelate Be Used To Clean Up Oil Spills? Others dealt with social and civil issues: Is Texting While Driving Really Safe?, or How Can We Use The Stroop Affect To Help Diagnose Autism? At the end of the day the pride of accomplishment was clearly visible on the faces of students, teachers and parents. With a successful science fair completed, the students and teachers begin to look forward to next year’s event.
