After School Tutoring
After-School Tutoring Program
At RACS, after-school tutoring is provided for students who need supplemental academic help. Students take benchmark exams at the end of each academic quarter and based upon test results, those falling below targeted achievement levels are placed in the after-school tutoring program. After-school tutoring is not an option. It is mandatory and part of our commitment to make sure every student gets the individualized attention they need in order to succeed.
After school tutoring is not a punishment. It is an opportunity for students to work in smaller groups with highly qualified, dedicated teachers to ensure their success. We understand some students require additional help outside the regular classroom day and after-school tutoring provides them with the positive reinforcement and support they need to keep them motivated in mind and spirit.
We thank our parent partners who support the importance of the after-school tutoring program by making sure no student is excused from these sessions unless it is a true emergency. If a student does not attend after-school tutoring as assigned, parents will be notified of their absence and detention or disciplinary actions will be enforced.
