How to Apply and Enroll at RACS
Rochester Academy Charter School Welcomes You!
Congratulations on your decision to apply to Rochester Academy Charter School.
We are now enrolling students for the 2026–2027 school year.
Apply Online
All families, including siblings of current students, must submit an application.
Kindergarten applicants must turn 5 years old on or before December 1st.
Deadline to submit applications for the lottery: April 1, 2026.
Enrollment Lottery

Date: Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 9:15 a.m.

Results: Same day, 10:00 a.m.

Students are selected through a random lottery. Late applications go to the waitlist.

Preference Order: Returning students → Siblings → Children of RACS employees → City of Rochester residents
Enrollment Offer

Families will be notified by email or text.

You have 72 hours to accept or decline.

Offers not accepted within this time will go to the next student on the waitlist.
Complete Enrollment Paperwork

Complete online via your Avela account or in-person by appointment.

Student’s birth certificate

Primary guardian’s photo ID

Proof of address/residency (utility bill, lease, or mortgage statement)

Enrollment is finalized once all documents are received and verified.
