Dear Parents and Guardians:
I’m filled with both pride and humility, as well as excitement as I write this letter to introduce myself as the recently appointed Principal at Rochester Academy High School. I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue the great work Rochester Academy has been doing. I’ve spent the last decade working with K-12 students across our area in general education, special education, tutoring, athletic, and extracurricular settings. The past four years have been spent at RACS as both a teacher and Assistant Principal. I’m excited to continue to advance Rochester Academy’s mission and vision as I work with you as a partner to ensure your child’s educational success.
My goals for the upcoming school year are twofold. I will continue to work incredibly hard to provide your student with one of the best public educations available in Monroe County. I’ll also work hard to build on that tradition through supporting school wide initiatives like embracing and adopting Restorative Justice principles, increasing student access to STEAM related courses and experiences, using data to drive instruction, and ensuring rigorous and relevant curriculum. Success in all of these areas will continue to increase students’ achievement.
Our entire staff is ready to take on the upcoming school year. That excitement for the new school year, on the part of teachers, students, and parents, is what will propel us towards success. The positive, safe, and supportive environment RACS helps to build is the cornerstone of that work. My office is always open and I welcome your feedback. Students achieve the greatest successes when there is a true partnership between their school and their homes. Please feel free to call or email throughout the year.
I look forward to working together.
