Message From The Principal

Dear RACMS Families,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at
Rochester Academy Charter Middle School. I am delighted to have the honor to continue serving as your principal
and to extend a warm welcome to both new and returning members of our school community. My name is Robyn
Roberts-Grant and I am excited about this upcoming school year that will be filled with growth, collaboration and
endless possibilities.

On a personal note, I am the very proud mother of four children, Nazier, Sydney, Giavana and Marilienyz. You will
often hear me say that being a parent is, by far, the most challenging, yet rewarding, title I hold. My decisions will
always be driven by what is best for your child. I am truly honored to be entrusted with your child(ren) and take
that responsibility very seriously. I fully understand the challenges and rewards you face every day as you work to ensure your child has the best educational experience.

Professionally, I have 24 years of experience as an educator ranging from the elementary, middle and high school
levels. My experiences have helped me see the social, academic and behavioral transitions from kindergarten to
the senior year of high school. I have spent 18 years in the Rochester City School District in positions such as:
teacher, positive behavioral support specialist, assistant principal and athletic director. I was also an Assistant
Principal and Director of PE, Health and Athletics at the North Rose Wolcott Central School District for 4 years.
This will be my 3rd year with Rochester Academy Charter Middle School. I have earned 2 Bachelor of Science
Degrees in Psychology and Physical Education, a Master of Arts Degree in Education and a Professional Certificate
of Advanced Study in Educational Administration, all from SUNY Brockport. I also completed the Advanced
Education Leadership Certification Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

I wholeheartedly believe that great schools are the result of great teachers and my primary goal is to continue to
support the teachers of Rochester Academy Charter Middle School to provide them with the tools they need to
continue to be successful and help your children grow and prosper. Along with the teachers and staff, I will work
relentlessly to continue the legacy of success at RACMS by building solid relationships with scholars, parents, staff
and community partners. My goal is to ensure that every scholar has equitable opportunities and access to
experiential learning opportunities, strives for academic excellence and will be ready for high school.

I am thrilled about this upcoming 2023-2024 school year and I am very passionate about how scholars learn best
and look forward to this new opportunity to grow together. With that in mind, you can expect that I will work
diligently with teachers to make sure our scholars are exposed to rich educational experiences that are both
engaging and challenging. I look forward to working together with you to ensure we have a successful year at
Rochester Academy Charter Middle School. Please know the door is always open and we invite you all to come in
